About the Recruitment

The Indian Air Force is conducting the Agniveervayu Intake 02/2027 selection under the Agnipath Scheme for unmarried Indian male and female candidates. Educational Qualification

Candidates must satisfy any one of the following educational qualifications.

Science Subjects

Candidates should have passed:

  • Intermediate/10+2 with Mathematics, Physics and English with at least 50% aggregate marks and 50% marks in English.

OR

  • Three-year Diploma in Engineering in:
    • Mechanical
    • Electrical
    • Electronics
    • Automobile
    • Computer Science
    • Instrumentation Technology
    • Information Technology

with 50% aggregate marks and 50% marks in English.

OR

  • Two-year Vocational Course with Physics and Mathematics along with 50% aggregate marks and 50% marks in English.

Other Than Science Subjects

Candidates should have passed:

  • Intermediate/10+2 in any stream with minimum 50% aggregate marks and 50% marks in English.

OR

  • Two-year Vocational Course with 50% aggregate marks and 50% marks in English.

Age Limit

Candidates must be born between 1 July 2005 and 1 January 2010 (both dates inclusive).

  • Maximum age at the time of enrolment: 22 years

Marital Status

  • Only unmarried male and female candidates are eligible.
  • Candidates must remain unmarried during the four-year engagement period.
  • Female candidates must not become pregnant during the engagement period.

Body Tattoo Policy

Permanent tattoos are generally not permitted.

However, tattoos may be accepted:

  • On the inner side of the forearm.
  • On the back of the hand.
  • For candidates belonging to tribal communities where tattoos are customary.

Offensive or obscene tattoos are strictly prohibited.

Medical Examination

Candidates qualifying Phase-II will undergo a medical examination conducted by the Indian Air Force Medical Team.
